For all of you, whose cases are in NBC (National Benefits Center), please update your status here.
I had to undergo finger printing twice last year and this could be a reason for it.
My case information
EB2
PD: Dec 2005
Case transferred to NBC: 06/09/2008
No interview notice yet
Went for FP twice last year
Should we start getting police clearance certificates as our priority dates are current?

The Senate has passed a resolution sponsored by Senators Kohl (D-WI), Voinovich (R-OH), Brownback (R-KS) and Wyden (D-OR) that recognizes June 6th, 1939 as one of the most shameful days in American immigration history. The text of S. Res. 111 tells the story: Recognizing June 6, 2009, as the 70th anniversary of the tragic date when the M.S. St. Louis, a ship carrying Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany, returned to Europe after its passengers were refused admittance to the United States. Whereas on May 13, 1939, the ocean liner M.S. St. Louis departed from Hamburg, Germany for Havana, Cuba with...

You can get I-20 etc. But I think you will have to go to home country to get your F1 stamped. But better check with a lawyer.

My attorney sent my I-485 at Nebraska center because my I-140 was pending at Nebraska but according to question # 38 on FAQ-3, it should have gone to TX based on June 22, 2007 direct filing directives. Should I file again at Texas center?

My I-140 (National waiver approved, no labor required, self-petition) is approved, both me and my wife are working on EAD. Have valid AP till Oct 2009. 485s filed July 2007.
Today, on 10th, my wife (dependent 485) got hard LUD, "request for evidence notice sent" is the update.
-----------
Update: 12th Nov
The RFE is for absence of child's name (my wife) on the birth certificate. They wanted another birth certificate, hospital document or religious record or civil authority record that shows her name and both the parents names. They gave us 90 days time.

This is not really a revelation as visa fraud has been a problem for decades at US consulates around the world. But it reminds us that there are bad actors out there and US consular officials have a tough job in trying to make sure that deserving applicants get visas while they ferret out the fraudsters. The $500 anti-fraud fee that accompanies every H-1B petition is supposed to help provide the funding to properly investigate and root out fraud. It sounds like the system is working.

CPA is not something thats awarded as a graduate degree by an accredited university. So probably no.
But make sure you are not shutting your option by talking to an immigration lawyer and finding out for sure if you are qualified.

Hi, I have my labor approved by Company A and I140 filed as soon as I got the labor. Before this I140 got approved I changed to Company B who filed for my labor and applied for I140 as soon as it got approved. My I140 with company B got approved and then the I140 with the old company A got approved 3 months later. Can I somehow get the old PD. Can some one who have been in similar situation or know some one in the similar situation answer this. I will be able to get a 2 year advance if this works out.

This is a good question, can some experts answer?
One thing is for sure that the PD should be before July 31st in order to apply before Aug 17th.

This is not really an immigration question. You should check with an employment lawyer in your area. Good luck.
