Utah legislators passed two measures Friday that set the state on a different course than Arizona. One measure is an enforcement one and would require police to check the immigration status of those stopped on suspicion of committing felonies and misdemeanors. The measure's most controversial provision - an Arizona-style section allowing police to stop people based on a "reasonal suspicion" that the person is illegally present - was removed. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has sent a letter to the President asking him to terminate the controversial 287(g) program that allows local police to enforce immigration laws on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security. The CHC expressed its concerns about allegations of serious civil rights violations against Hispanics as well as recent reports of poor oversight in the program. The National Council of La Raza, the country's largest Latino civil rights organization praised the letter.

I am applying for new H1b in April. Also I have 485 applied under EB2 with I-140 approved.
1. Can anyone tell me what all information about my green card status I need to share with prospective employer attorney to make sure they provide it in H1b application...???
2. What's alien number and where can I find it...???

ICE has announced sentencing in two cases related to visa fraud. Houston immigration lawyer Kenneth Rothey has been sentenced to fourteen months in prison for money laundering and visa fraud. Rothey was convicted for his role in securing L-1 visas based on manufactured corporate relationships. ICE also announced the sentencing of Kwan Tsoi to nineteen months in prison for her role in arranging fraudulent marriages and then submitting immigration applications based on the marriages.

All,
I wonder if more of you have noticed this phenomena: one of your applications gets approved, but the approval doesn't show up on the online case status system.
My AP was approved on Sept 17, 2007 and mailed out to my attorney who got it in a few days and told me about yesterday when I emailed about another issue. Oddly enough, even today (Sept 27), the online case status system shows an LUD of Sept 14 but no approval. I didn't get the usual approval email from the case status system either.
Annoying -- since now I won't learn of new developments till my lawyer calls me up to let me know and you know what slackers they can be. Although all this may be moot since apparently I am stuck waiting for my name check to clear, so there won't be any new developments to look look forward to for a long long time. Sigh. :(

the quick answers. Draw your shapes in the extrusion editor with the pencil tool. Outside shape of the hex nut and inside shape. If you get the shape you want, it will be a nice hex nut when you return to scene editor.
The right answer: Draw in illustrator and save your self the headache of drawing to draw anything outside of simple primitives in swift.
The even better answer. Any other true modeling program will provide better results. (from 3d paint, 3ds, maya, etc..)

The Cap seem to be moving slowly in the past few months, but something is different with the release of the new count this week.
As of September 18, 2009, approximately 46,000 H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) cap-subject petitions and approximately 20,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption had been filed. It seems that some employers are hiring again and willing to file for H1B visas for specialty workers. This is a good sign, but this also means that visas may run out sooner than expected.
USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until a sufficient number of H-1B petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits, taking into account the fact that some of these petitions may be denied, revoked, or withdrawn.

I got laid off from Company A in Jan.2009 but I filed transfer for my H1-B to Company B based on receipt notice which I have for Company A. but Just now I came to know from USCIS that Transfer which I filed for Company A in Oct.2008 has RFE and Company A denied to answer RFE cos I am no longer their employee.
Question:
1. Can I get a receipt notice for Company B ?
2. Is there really an Issue for my Transfer to company B due to RFE in previous filing?

Each application is seperate as each one is for a seperate future job. Filing a new EB2 labor will have no effect on your existing EB3 app.
