In my opinion I think we should get the news guys into this and get the information out there about the irresponsibility with which they have mismanaged the whole process. Such kind of problems usually grab headlines when it happens with US citizens.
I think we need to be heard. Imagine, insurance companies violating makes news, social security makes news, airport security regulations and mismanagement makes news _ WHY CANT THIS? THIS IS SO CRUEL. HOW MANY HOURS, MONEY, EFFORT HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN? CAN WE NOT GET SOME NEWS CHANNEL TO COVER THIS? SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO A JOURNALIST ABOUT HOW AWFUL IT HAS BEEN????
THIS HAS ALL THE ELEMENTS OF PAIN, AGONY, AND DECEIT. Please comment. Only when we do this, will we get the EB numbers to get increased. Only then , the lawmakers will get up and smell the coffee. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND WHAT DO WE GET AFTER OBEYING THE LAW? MISMANAGEMENT THROWN AT OUR FACE.

Well I stand corrected. Last night I reported that Rima Fakih was born in the US to immigrant parents. That's what the one biography I could find that listed her birth place actually said. But a day is a long time in the news cycle and we know a lot more about America's newest sweetheart. She was, in fact, born in Lebanon and immigrated as a child. The charming Rima is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is hoping to attend law school when her reign is over. Perhaps a career as an immigration lawyer?

I have an approved labor and I-140 (EB2) with a PD of Aug 03, since USCIS guideline says that the demand for EB2 India seems to exceed the supply of GCs, I am not sure how much longer it will take for my PD to be current.
My company has a approved labor (EB2) with PD of 2002 (with job requirements matching my qualifications). I have the following questions:
1. Can I apply for premium processing for the I-140 stage with the substituted labor?
2. If not, does it take longer to process I-140 with substituted labor than the normal case?
3. if I can get the labor with 2002 PD, can my company give my labor to someone else (especially since my I-140 is already approved with that labor)

Hello,
We have our 485 interview's next week @ the Baltimore Field Office. My PD is current for EB-2. My case is pretty straightforward so hopefully should not be a issue.
Would appreciate any comments from folks in MD who have been interviewed @ the Fallon Federal Building in downtown.
Particularly - can they approve our cases right there & then.? Will they stamp our passports for approval since PD is current for January 2011.? Can there be any issued with visa number not available, etc. ?
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,
I have applied for my H1B transfer from my current employer to a new company. I have not had any issues with my current employer with pay or anything like that. I have maintained my H1B status with my salary coming on time as promised and have all the paystubs and correct documents. My new employer is a big american MNC and they have hired a well known law firm for transfer process.
My only question is I have not informed my current employer yet and will inform him in a weeks time once my LCA is done and transfer is filled. He will not be very happy about this and I have initially signed an offer letter which says I will work with him for atleast a year and its only been 6 months so far. Can he create any problems in my transfer by cancelling my current H1 or any other problems with my reliving? Pls help.

There is no expiry date in his I-94. What should I write? Is it like D/S (F1)?

I had breakfast today with a few advocates and an Obama Administration official who noted that the immigration summit will now be held on June 25th. Encouraging. I also learned that the current expectation is that the immigration reform bill will likely start in the Senate and that Senator Reid is hoping for reform legislation to be considered in the fall.

There have been some reports on the internet that people received EAD card with AP on it. According to the AILA, the USCIS issued such card in error. The EAD will be valid but AP note on the card is invalid. The USCIS advises them to contact the agency for instructions to obtain replacement card. Isn't there a saying that when one gets something which is too hard to believe to be true, then it is not true. Single EAD/AP card will not be issued until they announce such in the future!

Sure doesn't sound right. I'd suggest some controlled tests, using a gray card (or even a white card). Check the actual color with your favorite editor (Photoshop, etc). It might be your monitor calibration, too.
At this point you don't really know if white balance WAS correct and, after the update, it's wrong - or vice versa.
