Thanks for the quick reply. So in my case since my husband doesn't have a RD yet for our I-485 then once we do get our RD, we can calculate that 2 yrs from that time we'll have our card ordered as well. :D :D :D I'm crossing my fingers!

Skilled legal immigrants from all over US will rally peacefully in Washington DC on Sep 18 at 9:00 AM. The rally wants to draw Congress's attention to 10+ year delays in skilled employment based (EB) immigration. The rally is being organized by Immigration Voice (http://immigrationvoice.org), a non-profit grassroot advocacy group of skilled EB immigrants from all countries.
It takes 7+ years (after 2+ years on student visa followed by 1 year on practical training) to become a resident. Some of these immigrants have returned to their countries (or gone to other countries) causing reverse brain drain: educating immigrants on tax payer dollars to compete against the tax payers. There are 1+ Million immigrants in EB immigration process.
EB immigrants have patiently waited 2+ years with focus on every other kind of immigration reform. This is inspite of the fact that EB immigration has the simplest solution: increase EB immigrant quota and streamline EB immigration process.

Landed on H1b in 1998, still stuck in the muck
EB3- I is finished pretty much. It is illogical now to expect GC even. Need to accept reality and look at other options in life.

What the USCIS has done today is what they call "Locking the stables AFTER the horse has bolted" ;)
What a bunch of idiots, i swear this is WORSE than ANY of our home countries. Like I told my friend yesterday, atleast if the USCIS call center was based in India, the answers would have been consistent. They may have all been Wrong, but atleast they would be consistent.

Does it mean the eligibility criteria/job requirement for EB2 is changed from Bachelors + 5 years of experience to Bachelors + 10 years of experience?
This line is not good:

Guys,
Its only Green card and I am not sure why people get upset big deal. Nobody asked us to move here. And if there is a system in place we cannot be saying its bad and this and that. My PD is DEC 04 do I feel bad someone in 2006 gets it. YES. Is the system crappy yes. I have a MS in US. So all this hoopla about US ms are getting it and not us is wrong. The other question is should I be getting it over others who dont have a MS from US. I believe yes we should.
but thats my thoughts on the subject if someone does not like it I respect his thoughts.

This bill is purely on the theory of Common man vs politician
What is a politician?
Politician is a contaminated breed of Human species. Here's the difference.
When a common man see the problem, he tries to make a resolution and tries to make a permanent solution helping everyone.
Now what does a politician do.. he see a problem and think how can he pretend to get a resolution while trying to make use of the problem for his political advantage hurting everyone and even hurting who were not effected by that problem and then use the same cycle to resolve the residual problems of the so called "solution" for his gains.. and this goes on and on and on.
Moreover the worst part of the story is no matter where you go in this world, you will find this weed growing everywhere and there is no weed control chemicals to kill them and surprisingly common man is a fertilizer to grow it.

I filed my EB2 with the same employer. Did not get any RFE for PERM Labor. I have M.S degree from US. I am in the same job role from the beginning (Web Developer).

You don't want USCIS to make any judgement. Here is an example of their judgement.
USCIS said that 140K EB #s were used on July 2. However, we are hearing that they did not use up the numbers on Sep 30.

Enforce EXECUTIVE BRANCH AGENCY - USCIS to consume unused EB Numbers
Firstly, the executive branch agency USCIS failed to UPHOLD the law by not fully issuing 140,000 numbers when there was hugh backlog.
Secondly, Change the following:
1. Allow USCIS to use previous unused EB numbers since 2000.
2. Change the way the Dept. of State allocates the EB numbers throughout the Fiscal Year. The Dept. of State should allocate the EB numbers UNIFORMLY across the 4 QUARTERS.
