Guys, Due to all this mess up with dates I decided to file 485/EAD/AP myself and for my wife on 6/29; so filled up everything, attached copies, photos and what not and FedExed all to USICS on June 30 to hit them on 2nd July.
Now I see that by mistake I have put my SSN on my wife's 765. She has been always on H4, never had SSN.
1. What can be the consequence of this mistake?
2. Should I try to pull it back from USICS and submit again (if it's at all possible)

Hi everyone,
I need a suggestion . i am working on virgina state. and my employer is running the pay roll on newjersey state. I am sending emails to him but replying. I am working on from last year for that company. He is having backup amount (caustion deposit) nearly 7000$

yes. ur 140 is still valid. you don't need paystubs from company A, but its better to be working for company A the time you are filing 485 with them to make your case more authentic.

I think it is within 6 months. Check the USCIS website for the I130 petition time frame (CSC).

what is the right address to submit the I485 / EAD and AP using Fedex and fill it in Nebraska?
My attorney submitted my paperwork to:
850 S Street POBOX 87845 ?
I'm confused becase in the CIS site give the address in parentesis mention to write down the right POBOX.
What if she maid a mistake and send the paperwork to POBOX 87485?

I will be in DC, and we have rented a bus departing from wallace NC monday at 12:00hrs I still have sits available, we will drive to rRaleigh, the Virginia then DC

Hi All,
Can any one give me what is the usual time frame given to respond to an RFE for I 140. I have seen in various threads that it is usually 12 weeks.
On Feb 22nd, I got an RFE on my 140 and the letter reached attorney's office on Mar 6th. On the RFE letter, USCIS has asked to repsond by April 7th. That is hardly 6 weeks and 4 weeks from the data I recd the letter. Is this usual?

Hello!
I am pursuing part-time MBA while working for a company which has sponsored my GC. I am on EAD based on EB3 filing with PD of March 2005.
I plan to do a summer internship (10-12 weeks) at another company and need to understand the risks. This internship would be 40-hr/week so I will have to either
* quit my job and then search for another full-time job after internship is over, or
* take a Leave of Absence (LoA) for 3 months and come back to my current job
The first option is obviously very risky so I am inclined towards the second option though I don't know if my employer will grant me LoA. Could you please advice me whether doing an internship will be an issue later when my PD becomes current.

In above link, how is it possible to have pending I-485 (EB2) for 2008 & 2009 for India? If i remember correctly the priority date for India has reached upto Jul 2007 only so far.

Hello,
I am currently working on H1b visa (stamped & valid till Feb 2011). My I-485 is pending (EB3, India). However, I have a need to stay on H1-B status.
If I find a new job/employer who files for an H1-B transfer:
1. Can I travel internationally immediately after getting the receipt notice? I will continue to work for my old employer till I get back from vacation.
2. In the same trip, I plan to get married and get my spouse on a H4 visa. Will getting new H4 visa be an issue in such a case?
3. Any issues at POE?

I was on F1 visa and applied for my GC / I485 thru my spouse few years back. Unfortunately while coming back from India 3 years back, I used my stamped F1 visa instead of AP. My lawyer told me that due to this, I have abondoned my AOS and he has to withdraw my 485 and refile it when it will be current. Few days back spouse became current and attorney was preparing to apply for 485 again but in USCIS the status of my application was still shown pending not withdrawn. To our surprise, we saw 2 GC in the mail and the online status was shown approved. But the attorney is saying that we should re-file the 485 since USCIS did not withdraw my application and approved it. They says that I might have issues if my absence is detected when I will apply for citizenship later. Please suggest. I am so puzzled and tensed..

My current employer 'C' is in the process of filing Labor certification. I have to fill out Form # 9089 and give it back to my employer with past employment specifics.
I left my past employer 'A' on 9/23/2005, though was paid till 9/30. For the next month or so I was at home looking for a job on my own. When I did get successful I approached a consultant 'B' who filed for my H1-B transfer and offered me a appointment letter. We together kept looking for a job till 11/29 when I actually started working. When I got experience letter from these employers they told me that it is from the start of project date that you were on payroll. I am also sure that my employer 'A' did not inform the INS immediately but took about 15-20 days to send a letter after I had left.
My question is what dates should I put on the form, the actual dates or the ones I have on appointment letter
