I dont get it for EB3 India. First they said once we get over the APR 01 hump we should be move quicker. Well guess what we DID get over that hump. Why the heck arent the dates moving at all for us?

Not everyone has the luxury to go to home country to work for one year. Its like telling the Eb3 person to port to EB2. Do you accept that. There are so many issues need to be factored in. So lets not get into something which is not fair or not possible for every one. They system is f*&ked up. thats the fact. When the system is not fair, we fight to fix and not finding the loopholes.
There is a difference, my friend. Porting to EB2 means you have to spend LOTS of $$$ and time and effort to get masters degree.
No matter how you look at it, it is not wise to hack away at any door that's open to all. We should look at expanding our vistas, not shrink it. What if I tell you I am thinking of starting up a co in India, so some day I can make it here using the EB1 route? Why do you want to prevent me from availing this opportunity and making my sacrifices -- just because you feel it will help YOU move forward by ONE INCH?

Cases will be processed on RD only. However approval is based on PD.
Due to heavy backlogs, it is automatically assured that the person with an older PD will get his GC first - even if he filed later.

I just sent a check of $100 via online bill payment to IV. I've also set up recurring contribution checks of $25 every month beginning June. I strongly believe in IV's cause and hope that many folks will come forward. This is the time to act to help ourselves, otherwise we'll be left behind. Keep up the good work.

EAD/AP 360*2 + 305*3(Spouse + son) is almost 2K.

One interesting thing from the anti-immigrant community represented by Steve King in this testimony was when he asked the Visa Division Chief, that -How many immigrants have we admitted to the United States between 1992-2006 who were refugees and asylees, that were not counted in the annual numerical limit? So, he basically wants to overwrite the Visa Recapture bill, by saying that since we admitted 'refugees and asylees' which were outside the limit, then there is no need to recapture unused visas, since those unused numbers have already been offset by refugees and asylees.

Thanks - I'll write a mail to the HR head to release 7001 on my request and will mention that they don't have to take responsibility. Enough is enough - i got another 2 yr H extension in July 08 so i should be good,anyway.
I'll keep you guys posted when i receive 7001 from HR by mail and i'll send it to Ombudsman office (along with that cover letter) immediately.

When you get the letter ready we'll send it again. It doesn't hurt to send them the letters 100 times.
I believe in 1 thing.... Is the media(in this case letter) imparting the message ? If the answer is 'Yes', we are done!!!!
Trust me my friend, spellings commas and fullstops doesn't matter...If you need to send out a message send it ASAP...

I'm thinking duly signed letters have more impact.
We have sent letters in the past only to get a standard CANNED answer. It is my opinion that the letters we send do not have any impact, cos as soon as they see "Immigration" as the subject, they (staff) sends the standard letter they have definining the position back.
I do not mean to discourage you, but the need of the hour is to call all the senators. There are 100 of them.
If you were going to do something in addition to the phone calls, Please set up an appointment w/the senator or staff and do a 20 minute Powerpoint presentation. That is more effective.

I fully support this donor forum. there should be some incentive for members who donate. they are not doing it because they have lots of money to spare, but they sacrifice because they believe in this cause. I don't think $25 is going to break anyone's bank. Just sacrifice something that you consume/enjoy every week, and donate that.
It's a pity that even with about 25K members, we cannot raise a minimal amount. People need to realize they cannot simply enjoy the benefits of someone else's labor.

This data will be sought by all of us but if we are not ready to support the effort, it will be tough to invest in it.
